Text Box: Text Box: What’s a newsletter without updates on the people who make up our school population?Watch this section in  future editions for newsy items we can all celebrate. 
In particular, over the summer, we’re happy to announce that Mme Caroline Tye, who cared Text Box: for children in the after-school program and was an assistant in Grade 2, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Jessie Ann, in August. Mme Schroecker will be taking on the  after-school program while Mme Tye is on  maternity leave.
A new little person also arrived on the scene in Text Box: Mrs. Asquith’s family this summer. Mrs. Asquith who retired last year after 23 years with us, became a grandmother this summer. Congratulations and best wishes to all with these new and important joys and responsibilities.
Text Box: University in Lille, France and was awarded a Masters degree. 
For the past eight years, Mme Lyons has been teaching in Ireland, England, Italy and France. She is fluent in English, French and Italian and has a great interest in the Arts. She is also the mother of two young children. 
We are also happy to welcome Pauline Couture to the Kindergarten "A" class.  Mme Couture Text Box: It is our pleasure to announce the addition of two new teachers to our staff this year Mme Eileen Lyons and Mme Pauline Couture . 
Over the summer we bade farewell to Yolande Shuck after 11 years of enthusiastic dedicated teaching with us. We will miss her immensely, but wish her all the best with her new opportunity at the French Public School Board. In her place,  Mme Lyons will be joining Mme Beddoe for the Grade 6 French curriculum. 
Born and raised in Kitchener, Mme Lyons graduated from St-Mary’s high school. She then attended the University of Dublin in Ireland and obtained her Honours B.A. in French and Italian in 1996. Mme Lyons attended the Royal Society of Arts in London, England in 1998. After moving to France, Mme Lyons studied at the Charles de Gaulle Text Box: People in the News

Music Program Update

 

After a successful first year of in-house       private music instruction at KWBS, we are pleased to report the program continues to flourish. This year, as an exciting addition to the program,     Junior and Senior Symphonies will be developed. Stay tuned for details. We look forward to the weekly concerts starting in October.

A reminder to parents, music lessons resume           the week of September 13th.

graduated from Smooth Rock High School in Kapuskasing, Ontario, and has a B.A. in French from Laurentian University in Sudbury. She taught for 14 years in the francophone Catholic school system in Northern Ontario before taking time to raise her family. She is a mother and a grandmother.
